What You Need To Know

The Dogs of Pine Hill Yearbook

Calling all Dogs! The Pine Hill Press is looking for students to submit photos for "The Dogs of Pine Hill Yearbook" in December’s edition.

Email your photos to Mr. Randa randac@doversherborn.org include the dog’s name, student’s name, grade, and classroom.

Physical photos can be submitted in the mailbox in the lobby and can be returned after being scanned (please include student name and classroom on the back).

Deadline is December 15th.

On Thursday, November 18, 2021, Smashburger ( 1298 Worcester Street, Natick, in the Sherwood Plaza Shopping Center) will donate 20% of your meal’s price back to CSA to raise funds that support our children’s extracurricular experiences!

The digital directory may be accessed on any mobile device from the DirectorySpot app or on the DirectorySpot website anytime you need to find class lists or contact information for a classmate, friend, or teacher.

You’ll get an email after your directory order is placed.

Pine Hill Coat Drive: Seeking Youth and Adult Coat Donations

Have your children outgrown their winter coats? Have you been meaning to prune your overstuffed coat closet? Please donate your old coats for a good cause.

Pine Hill School is hosting a drop bin for the Coats For Kids & Families Program sponsored by Jordan's Furniture. There will be a donation bin in the school lobby. We will be collecting coats through December 23, 2021.

This philanthropic initiative is aimed at collecting and donating gently-used, like-new, and new quality winter garments for both children and adults to families in need through a wide network of social service agencies. All coats are professionally cleaned and sanitized by Anton’s prior to distribution. Donated items are provided to families in need in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Maine.

2nd Annual Holiday Gift Drive

Last year, our Pine Hill community responded so generously to the
1st Annual Holiday Gift Drive. We’re thrilled to say we are doing it again this year! Stay tuned for wish list items from our partner agencies Project Just Because in Hopkinton and the MA Department of Children and Families (DCF) office in Framingham.

Enrichment Volunteers Needed

The CSA Enrichment Committee is looking for individual Grade Level Liaisons for Kindergarten, 3rd and 5th grades. Duties include attending grade-level enrichment programming during class time (typically 1-3 per year), taking photos and notes, and sharing a brief summary with the CSA to be used in this newsletter.

What’s Happening In Our Community

Reach the Peak 2021

On Saturday, November 13, join DSMS 8th grader, JB, as he sets out to "Reach The Peak" again this year! Hiking start time slots begin at 10 a.m. at Powissett Farms in Dover with a celebration following.

One of JB's favorite outdoor activities was climbing to the top of Noanet Peak in Dover with his families and friends. As his disease progressed he was no longer able to "Reach The Peak". With help from you and an expensive all terrain vehicle, The Terrain Hopper, JB was able to get to the top of Noanet Peak in November of 2019. Since that day, JB’s Keys to DMD has ensured The Terrain Hopper has been utilized by many young men in the New England area to access mountains, beaches and more!

Bogastow Ski Team

Get ready to think snow! Registration is now open for skiers age 7+. Team practices will be Wednesdays evenings 6:00-8:00 PM at Nashoba Valley. Races take place Sunday mornings at several local MA ski areas. Details and race information can be found at here.

Sherborn Library Craft Drop-In

A different craft each week Thursdays in November at 3pm. No registration required.

Toe Jam Puppet Band

Join the Sherborn Library for some zany, fall, fun on Sunday, November 14, 3-4 p.m. at Jameson Fields. Dowse’s Apple Cider & Munchkins will be served.
