Parents ONLY Meet and Greet: Please join us in the Pine Hill Cafeteria for coffee and bagels and get to know CSA members and other new Pine Hill parents.

Please join us for playground fun and a chance to meet other new Pine Hill parents at the Sherborn Playground (Cemetery Lane). We will start at 5:00 but feel to drop by anytime between 5-7. Pizza will be served.

Monster Mash is Back!

Friday, October 22nd, 4:30-6:30 pm at Pine Hill Elementary

Get your tickets for the ghouliest and grooviest Pine Hill party of the year - the CSA Monster Mash!! This year, we'll be transforming the back playground into a costume dance party sensation - with DJ Mike on the spins and surprises to light up the night.

Purchase Tickets

The party is outside, so we will need extra volunteers and everyone will want to dress for whatever the weather may be. Parents with younger children or a child that needs extra supervision are encouraged to stay (... and pull out some killer dance moves... preferably in costume).

Please also consider volunteering and/or donating tasty treats. Sign up when you purchase tickets.

How You Can Get Involved

Lightweight Volunteer Roles

We still need Classroom Parents for the following classrooms:

Kindergarten: Connery, Jeffries
First Grade: Aguilar, Fabri
Second Grade: Custodio, Mealey
Third Grade: Ritchie, Sidman
Fourth Grade: Carter, Morey
Fifth Grade: DeBenedictis, Mackay

Classroom Parent is a great way to be involved with your child's life at school and to also help out. Most of the work can be done remotely via email, and all info will be provided to help guide you.

Classroom Parent Responsibilities: 

• Help your child’s teacher to organize classroom volunteering and some communication to parents

• Connect the CSA with the parents in your classroom 

• Support your classroom teacher by organizing teacher gifts

• Act as a resource for new parents If you are a parent new to Pine Hill, this can still be you! Lots of info will be provided and it's a great way to get involved!

If you are interested in becoming a Classroom Parent email Molly Cullum at volunteer@pinehillschoolcsa.org. Include your name, child's name, grade level, and teacher's name. Occasionally there are more volunteers than vacant slots. All assignments will be made on a first come, first served basis.

DS Challenge Success Seeking Communication Volunteer

The DS Challenge Success program has helped students and the larger DS community create better balance in their lives by reducing and managing unhealthy pressures and demands, promoting conversation around definitions of success, and supporting programs that build emotional resilience among our students.

Now Live - Pine Hill Digital Directory

The 2021-22 Pine Hill Digital Directory is now available! The digital directory may be accessed on any mobile device from the DirectorySpot app or on the DirectorySpot website anytime you need to find class lists or contact information for a classmate, friend, or teacher. The online directory costs $15 per household and directly supports curriculum enrichment programs, materials, and equipment that improve student learning.

Fall for Fitness Fundraiser

Get your sweat on for a great cause! Join the Friends of the Sherborn Library (FOTSL) for “Fall For Fitness”, an autumn morning filled with fun exercise options for all fitness levels - enjoy low impact yoga, adult bootcamp, and a kid-friendly fitness session with light breakfast/refreshments to follow. Sunday, October 3, from 8:15-10am at Jameson Field. A performance by Jungle Jim will follow this event.

Fishing For A Cause - Annual Charity Derby at Farm Pond

Come out and enjoy the morning air on beautiful Farm Pond on October 3rd, 8:00am - 12:00pm! This event is open to everyone and is a great way to connect with people, connect to nature, and support a great cause! This is a fun event for the entire family, and there will be prizes!

Crafternoon Thursdays

Every Thursday in September and October from 3-5pm at the Sherborn Library. A different craft each week, work on the craft in the library or bring it home to do later. Craft books are available for check out. 

Registration Open for Dover Sherborn Youth Basketball

Registration for the 2021-2022 season of the DS Youth Basketball, Grades 4-8, is now open. Visit www.dshoops.com to register. Registration deadline is September 30. Tryouts will be held October 2nd and 3rd.
