What You Need to Know
 

The Holiday Gift Drive is Live!

This holiday season we are excited to launch our 4th Annual Holiday Gift Drive program to fulfill wishes for children in need. Every year, our Pine Hill community responds so generously to the gift drive and we’re truly proud that this has become an annual tradition!

We are partnering again with Project Just Because in Hopkinton, MA and the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) office in Framingham, MA. In addition, this year we’re supporting foster teens in Ascentria’s Unaccompanied Refugee Minor program. There are many local families that need our support.

Specific lists were provided for 15 children from Project Just Because, and DCF has asked for a stuffed animal and board game drive. Ascentria has shared a list of gift cards their teens have requested.

The winter holiday season is a time of year that lends itself so well to teaching our children about the value of giving to others - think about ways to involve your children in this drive. If your family is able to help this year, we thank you. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to Royale or Joanna.

Collection deadline: Friday, December 8th

Where: There will be a donation bin in the Pine Hill lobby

Important: We ask that you clearly label the gifts either: DCF or Child #__.

FAQ: Should I wrap the gifts? No. Please leave gifts unwrapped, but the agencies have asked for wrapping paper this year so families wrap the gifts themselves.

Can I donate gently used items? No. Please only donate new items, or we strongly encourage re-gifting of unused items!

How many items can I sign up for? As many as you want!

We are excited to bring back the event thanks to the support of the inaugural International Night’s contributors and attendees, Dr. Brown and Staff and the CSA.

β›„ Holiday Town Stroll Fundraiser

On Saturday, December 2, shop local for holiday gifts and 15-20% of purchase proceeds will support Pine Hill enrichment programs. Heritage Wine & Provisions, Ocean Dreams Market, Heaven on Earth Antiques and Sherborn Gallery and Gifts are taking part in this Town Holiday Stroll.

Treats provided at all stores and there will be a Stuff a Cruiser Toy Drive in front of Ocean Dreams from 12-3 with a guest appearance by Pine Hill favorite, Officer West!

Dover Sherborn METCO Scholarship Fund launches β€œFriendsgiving” fundraiser

As the weather turns and Thanksgiving approaches, many of us start to think about gratitude and about helping others. We think about our community, our students and the rich opportunities our schools provide.

Our students from Boston often attend Dover Sherborn schools from kindergarten through 12th grade β€” committing to the long commute, committing to straddling two communities, committing to DS. It is a long haul, and our schools are lucky to have these students and this program enriching our district. 

Our scholarship awards help make their launch into the world a little bit more joyful and a little bit easier.

When you donate during our Friendsgiving fundraiser (and any time of the year) 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly to scholarship awards for our DS graduates. 

Please give if you can. And, if you donate this month at dsmetcoscholarshipfund.org, two lucky winners will receive some goodies in return.
