What You Need To Know

Pine Hill CSA presents A Sherborn Holiday Stroll - Saturday, December 3

Sherborn stores are jam-packed with unique gift items for the holidays. On Saturday, December 3, all the stores below will provide a generous 15-20% of their proceeds to the Pine Hill CSA. When you make a purchase, let them know it’s for Pine Hill CSA for funds to count. Be sure to stop by the Sherborn Fire Station, there will be a mailbox out front for kids to drop off their letters for Santa.

STUFF A CRUISER HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE
Outside Ocean Dreams Market, 2 - 5pm

Sherborn Police will be outside of Ocean Dreams Market from 2-5pm accepting new, unwrapped toys. They will also bring Officer West, the newest member of Sherborn PD and their comfort dog.

HEAVEN ON EARTH ANTIQUES
20 N. Main Street, 11am - 5pm

Specializing in all manner of Antique & Vintage Christmas Decor, New European, retired Radko, McKenzie Childs (etc) ornaments. Plus seasonal and timeless home necessities (20% of the proceeds goes to Pine Hill CSA.)

Wine, soft drink and nibbles provided all weekend!

HERITAGE WINE & PROVISIONS
33 N. Main Street, 11am - 7:30pm

This wine and food shop features craft beer, spirits, local chocolates, Quebrada cookies, local honey as well as handmade Sweet Basil pasta and Dumpling Daughter dumplings in their freezer section! (15% of proceeds goes to Pine Hill CSA, standard volume discount does not apply).

Free brewed coffee to all customers and one free lollipop for each child that comes into the store.

OCEAN DREAMS MARKET
31 N. Main Street, 10am - 5pm

Find all your sustainable home living solutions — from shampoo bars, to Turkish towels, to eco-friendly kids toys — right in the town center. (20% of proceeds goes to Pine Hill CSA.)

3rd Annual Pine Hill CSA Holiday Gift Drive

This holiday season we are excited to launch our 3rd Annual Holiday Gift Drive program to fulfill wishes for children in need. Last year, our PH community responded so generously to the gift drive and we’re looking forward to making this an annual tradition! We are partnering again with Project Just Because in Hopkinton, MA and the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) office in Framingham, MA. The winter holiday season is a time of year that lends itself so well to teaching our children about the value of giving to others. There are many local families that need our support, particularly during this time. Specific lists were provided for 15 children from Project Just Because and DCF is looking to build a closet for teenagers who enter foster care on an emergency basis. If your family is able to help this year, we thank you.

FAQ:

Should I wrap the gifts? No. Please leave gifts unwrapped, but the agencies have asked for wrapping paper this year so families wrap the gifts themselves.
Can I donate gently used items? No. Please only donate new items, or we strongly encourage re-gifting of unused items!
How many items can I sign up for? As many as you want!
Is there a greater need for certain items? The teens tend to get less presents, so don’t forget about them!

DS MLK Day Ice Skating Party - January 16, 2023

All are welcome to the DS MLK Day Ice Skating Party, sponsored by DS METCO and taking place on January 16, 10am - 12pm, at the Jim Roche Arena in West Roxbury. Free skate rental included.

Coming Soon: Climate Action and Resilience Plan Survey

The Town of Sherborn started developing a Climate Action and Resilience Plan to prepare the community for the effects of climate change. On behalf of Sherborn's Sustainability Department, I would like to invite you to fill out this survey for weighing in with your ideas, concerns, and priorities for this collectively developed action plan: https://bit.ly/sherbornCARP. The survey is live Wednesday, November 30 - Friday, December 16.

By partaking in this survey, you will have the opportunity to help identify 10-15 priority actions for reducing GHG emissions and vulnerabilities concerning Sherborn’s unique ecological resources, in specific the town's affected tree canopy, and deteriorating ground and surface water quality. It's time to come together to shape the future of our kids!

Participants will be entered into a raffle for a $100 gift certificate for fine dining at Heritage!
