Pine Fest '23 Pine Hill Gala and Auction

Pine Fest ‘23 is this weekend!

The silent auction is open for Pine Fest '23! You can watch items, place bids, and buy now at https://one.bidpal.net/pinefest23. Online auction items that are not sold via the Buy Now feature will carry over into the silent auction at the event.

The online auction is open to everyone, even if you are not attending the Gala (and it's a great way to get out of town family members involved). Items will continue to be released this week, with all items live on the website by May 5th, so visit often and bid! Highest bidder at 10:30pm on May 6th wins the item.

We are also still looking for tech assistance at the event...if you're able to help, please reach out to auction@pinehillschoolcsa.org!

Techsploration Visits 3rd Grade!

On April 27, the 3rd grade class enjoyed Techsploration's Forces and Motion science program. This engaging presentation included experiments using rockets, a mag-lev jet car, a hovercraft, a hot air balloon, and other fun props to demonstrate how people throughout history have been using engineering to solve problems in transportation and flight.

The students participated in workshops including one where they used basic hand tools to build a magnetic levitation racer prototype out of high density foam. They designed and built a wind propulsion system for their racer and raced them on an electronically timed mag-lev track.

Friday Night at the Movies: Luca

Sherborn Community Center

This event is sponsored by the Sherborn Community Center Foundation. Kids are invited to bring their own blankets and stuffies to be comfortable. One lucky raffle winner will win a lava lamp!

The Friends of the Sherborn Library are seeking plant donations dug from your very own garden for the Friends’ Plant Sale at the Sherborn Library Arts & Crafts Fair on May 13! Donations can include perennial and annual flowers and plants, bushes and shrubs, seedlings and saplings, houseplants, and vegetables and herbs. We are also happy to help you dig!

Plant donations can be made at the Sherborn Library on Friday, May 12, 12-4 pm, at the front green of the library next to Sanger Street - look for our tent set up. Please email us at sandrapburke@gmail.com if you have questions, requests for help digging, or would like to volunteer at the plant table on the day of the fair.

Septics 101 for Sherborn Homeowners

Climate Action and Resilience Planning Process Results

Thank you to the Pine Hill parents who, through two community-wide surveys, informed the Climate and Resilience Working Group that the school lacks adequate cooling on hot May, June and September days and that "heat-out days" are actually more frequent than snow days. This particular issue has emerged as a primary risk in the Building and Infrastructure Section of the Climate Action and Resilience planning process and needs swift attention. Learn more.

Spring Lacrosse for Pre-K and Kindergarten!

Scoops Lacrosse is an introductory lacrosse program open to boys and girls in Pre-K and Kindergarten. Scoops help kids, players, teammates, and individuals on and off the field. By focusing on the fun in fundamentals, Scoops classes are designed to ensure the game of lacrosse is learned the right way. Summer Soccer Clinics

The Dover Sherborn Soccer Club in collaboration with the Anthony Rougier Sport Foundation will again be offering a series of soccer clinics this summer. Sign up for as many sessions as you would like.
