Monster Mash
The Outdoor Costume Party is Back!

Get your tickets for the ghouliest and grooviest Pine Hill party of the year - the CSA Monster Mash!! This year, we'll be transforming the back playground into a costume dance party sensation - with DJ Mike on the spins and surprises to light up the night.

Date: Friday, October 22
Time: 4:30-6:30 pm
Location: Pine Hill Elementary Back Playground
Dress: Costumes strongly encouraged. Please dress for whatever the weather may be.
Volunteers Needed for Supervision or Treats: Sign up when you purchase tix

The party is facilitated by CSA volunteers, and we need some more parents to help monitor the event. The DJ does a great job at keeping the kids engaged with activities, so we’ll need folks to help kids stay within the boundaries of the party.

Those with younger Pine Hillers, or a child that may need extra supervision, are encouraged to stay ... and break out some dance moves ... preferably in costume!

The Dogs of Pine Hill Yearbook

Calling all Dogs! The Pine Hill Press is looking for students to submit photos for "The Dogs of Pine Hill Yearbook" in December’s edition. Email Mr. Randa at the link below and include the dog’s name, student’s name, grade, and classroom. Physical photos can be submitted in the mailbox in the lobby and can be returned after being scanned (please include student name and classroom on the back).

Deadline is December 15th.

POSITIVE and Challenge Success are proud to host an evening with Dr. Lisa Damour, Ph.D. Lisa Damour is the author of two New York Times best selling books, writes the monthly Adolescence column for the New York Times, co-hosts the Ask Lisa podcast, appears as a regular contributor to CBS News, works in collaboration with UNICEF, and serves on the Advisory Board for Parents magazine. Dr. Damour also maintains a private practice and consults and speaks internationally. The evening's discussion will center around issues Dr. Damour sees with adolescents nationwide and specific topics recommended by the DSMS Guidance department, including stress, anxiety, school avoidance, perfectionism, as well as how to manage a meltdown and help your adolescent find their voice.

The 2021-22 Pine Hill Digital Directory is now available! The digital directory may be accessed on any mobile device from the DirectorySpot app or on the DirectorySpot website anytime you need to find class lists or contact information for a classmate, friend, or teacher. The online directory costs $15 per household and directly supports curriculum enrichment programs, materials, and equipment that improve student learning.

Friends of the Sherborn Library Trunk or Treat!

Saturday, October 30
3-5 p.m.
Pine Hill Parking Lot
Host a trunk and be part of this inaugural event. Prizes will be awarded for Spookiest Trunk, Best Book-Themed Trunk, Most Creative Trunk, Funniest Trunk, and more! Activities will include pumpkin painting, fall arts & crafts, checkout fall and Halloween library books. Suggested donation: $5. Email Becca Hammond with questions.

Sneakers for a Great Cause... designed by a great kid!

Pine Hill alum Jake Adduci contributed to a special sneaker design in support of Children's Hospital. The bright and snazzy sneaker is catching on here on the hill! Featured here by our students, faculty, and a school committee member :)

Concert for a Cause: Support Afghan Families
Friday, October 22 at Heritage of Sherborn. Doors open at 6:45 PM, "Group Therapy" comes on at 7:00 PM. This benefit concert will raise money and awareness for Afghan refugee families in need of our assistance. In partnership with Catholic Charities, Pilgrim United Church of Christ and the greater MetroWest Boston area are ready to help welcome an Afghan refugee family into our community. 100% of all funds raised will directly support one family coming to Massachusetts. Donations are tax deductible, 10% of all food purchases will be donated by the Heritage, and an anonymous donor will match the first $2000 in donations! If you can’t attend, donations are gladly accepted in any amount.

Halloween Crafternoon
Halloween is almost here! Crafternoon Drop-Ins are held on Half-Day Wednesdays between 1-4 pm and Thursdays from 3-5 pm in October at the Sherborn Library. A different craft each week, work on the craft in the library or bring it home to do later. Craft books are available for check out.

Aesop’s Fable Pumpkin Patch

Aesop’s Pumpkin Patch is back!!! Enter their contest by decorating a pumpkin to look like a favorite book character. Drop your pumpkin at the store in Holliston anytime during the month of October - it will be on display at the store until Halloween. Everyone who enters a pumpkin will leave with a goody bag. Voting will start the last week of October. Every customer can vote for as many pumpkins as they like, as often as they like. 3 Grand Prizes will be announced on November 1! #aesopspumpkinpatch
