How You Can Get Involved

Calling All Parents & Caregivers!

Classroom Parent/Caregiver is a great way to be involved with your child's life at school and to also help out. Most of the work can be done remotely, and all info will be provided to help guide you. Classroom Parent/Caregiver Responsibilities:

Help your child’s teacher to organize classroom volunteering, and some communication to parents/caregivers
Connect the CSA with the parents/caregivers in your classroom
Support your classroom teacher by organizing teacher gifts
Act as a resource for new parents/caregivers If you are new to Pine Hill, this can still be you! Lots of info will be provided and it's a great way to get involved!

Classroom Parents/Caregivers are still needed for the following classes:

Fifth - Ross (1 parent)
Fifth - Mackay (1 parent)

If you are interested in becoming a Classroom Parent/Caregiver email Liz Sarhaddi-Blue at volunteer@pinehillschoolcsa.org. Include your name, child's name, grade level, and teacher's name.

Pine Hill Gala and Auction volunteers needed!

This year Pine Hill will once again hold the exciting Pine Hill Gala and Auction. As the year's largest and historically most successful fundraising event, we will need all hands on deck... and the dance floor!

The following are our current open Gala committee and subcommittee positions, followed by a list of those already committed to making this year's Gala a great success.

Open Positions

Food and Drink Lead: This person will lead the Food and Drink Subcommittee as they solicit food and beverage items for the event.

Promotion Subcommittee: These 2 -3 positions will help spread the word about the Gala through local media outlets, social media and signage around town.

Silent Auction Subcommittee: These 2-3 positions will help solicit items for silent auction from local businesses.

Live Auction Lead and Live Auction Subcommittee: This team will spearhead our live auction, soliciting items from Pine Hill community members and friends and local businesses.

Paddle Raise Lead and Paddle Raise Subcommittee: This team will lead the charge in creating a high-spirited paddle raise during the gala. There are no prizes or items to win - just create a fun environment where people "raise their paddles" to kindly donate.

What’s Happening In Our Community

Our kids need a cooler planet - Join the Pine Hill Parent Climate Action Group

Did you know that the Town is developing a Climate Action and Resilience Plan over the next 9 months? Are you interested in connecting with other parents from Pine Hill Elementary (Kindergarden-5th grade) and forming a Parent Climate Action group and providing input for that plan? This is an opportunity to meet with other like-minded families to promote a more sustainable lifestyle, solutions for energy-efficient homes, and pesticide-free gardening. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place! Sherborn Girl Scout troops are gearing up this fall, now is the time to register if you're a girl scout already.

2022 Fishing for A Cause! Benefitting Home Base

Come out and enjoy the morning air on beautiful Farm Pond in Sherborn, MA! This event is open to everyone and is a great way to connect with people, connect to nature and support a great cause! Farm Pond is a treasured resource within the town of Sherborn and we will all have an opportunity to enjoy everything it has to offer! We are working to make this a fun event for the entire family, and there will be prizes! The Grand Prize will be tickets to a Red Sox game in the 2023 season! Register here.

Dover Sherborn Girls Soccer DS Logo Driveway Fundraiser

Show your spirit and Raider pride by getting a DS logo painted on your driveway by your very own Lady Raiders!

All proceeds of the $50 fee go to support the DS Girls Soccer program.

DS vs. Medfield at Gillette!

The Dover Sherborn Girls and Boys Soccer Teams will be playing our rival Medfield on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough!

Being the “home” team we’d love to have a full house of loud, cheering Raider fans at the game supporting both our varsity and JV teams!

Dover Sherborn Metrowest Travel Basketball

Registration is now open for Dover Sherborn Metrowest Travel Basketball, grades 4 – 8. Registration will remain open until September 28. Please go to www.DSHoops.com to register and pay for your player(s). Tryouts will be held on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2. The tryout schedule is posted on the website. Mark your calendars! The Friends of the Sherborn Library (FOTSL) have been busy planning and we can't wait to see you at our events! Look for more information on the FOTSL Facebook page, the Sherborn Library Friends website, and below.

Host a Trunk at the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat hosted by the Friends of the Sherborn Library! Trunk or Treat is on Saturday, October 22, from 3-5 p.m. in the Pine Hill Parking Lot. Sign up to host a trunk and be part of the 2nd annual event. Great event for kids of all ages - costumes highly recommended. Suggested donation: $5. The Sherborn Library’s 3rd Annual Jack-o-Lantern competition takes place on October 26! To participate:

Register here to reserve a pumpkin (no need to register if using your own pumpkin).

October 17-24: Pick up a pumpkin at the library. Pumpkins are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
October 24-26: Drop off your carved & labeled pumpkin at the library. Please provide a name/title for your Jack-O-Lantern and label with your name on the bottom or back.
October 26: Drive-thru the pumpkin line up in the UUAC parking lot (best viewing after 6 PM sunset) and vote for your favorites. Prizes for top three winners (gift cards to Candy Cottage in Holliston and a random drawing for a bag of candy). Spectators welcome! No need to carve a pumpkin, just come check out all the Halloween spirit!

Thank you to the UUAC for sharing their parking lot for our "drive thru" and the Friends of the Sherborn Library for supplying the pumpkins and prizes!
